How Lee Harris came to Rotosound is a testament to our rich history.

Saucerful of Secrets
On Wednesday we watched Nick Mason’s Saucerful of Secrets perform in Croydon’s Fairfield Halls, a venue that has seen British music royalty such as David Bowie, the Beatles, The Who, and Queen grace its stage. The show was a feast for psychedelic music fans with a dazzling light display, all musicians creating a sea of ambience from their instruments, and Gary Kemp and Lee Harris‘ guitars sounded magnificent.
Gary Kemp’s guitar strings
Rotosound has been the string of choice for decades for Gary Kemp, who used them back when he played with Spandau Ballet.
Gary uses our British Steels BS10 stainless steel electric guitar strings and Jumbo King JK11 acoustic guitar strings.
Lee Harris’ guitar strings
How Lee Harris came to Rotosound is a testament to our rich history. Lee phoned us in 2021 to discuss strings after seeing the famous photograph of Pink Floyd holding Rotosound packs while recording at Abbey Road Studios in 1967. Lee is a Syd Barrett aficionado and has put together a rig that captures the early Pink Floyd perfectly.
Lee plays our Roto Yellows R10 strings.
