Rotosound support 24 hour Buskathon

Earlier this year, musician and founder of ‘Acoustic Magic’ Derek Allan teamed up with a fellow musician Sam Gibson to take part in a series of extreme music based charity missions.

The first is to take place on the 8th and 9th of August.

It’s a 24 hour Buskathon. The aim is to have 24 solid hours of non stop live Acoustic Music. The event will be run like an “open mic night” so any musicians/performers are invited to come along to perform and support the cause. Derek and Sam will be there for the entire 24 hours so if no other musicians turn up they are ready and willing to play the whole day and night between them.

We’ve donated Rotosound Acoustic Guitar strings for this event so that during this intensive 24 hours nobody needs to worry about snapped strings.

The event will run all through the night from 4:00pm – 4:00pm over the 8th – 9th of August. People are invited to come and enjoy the music or play some music and join in the 24 hour party (there’s no obligation to stay the full 24 hours – although we’re sure you’d be welcome – but if you’re nearby then why not pop in and show your support.

The audience are encouraged to throw money for the musicians “busker style”. There will also be raffles, Tombolas and domino cards on the day.

The event will be held at Dinnington Social Club. NE137JT

All proceeds to go to the worthy cause of Diabetes UK.
