London Bass Show – bass giveaway winner

“The London Bass Guitar Show has been on our calendar since its inception in 2011 – always a fun day (or two!) out, looking at all the latest new toys, and meeting up with fellow bassists from all walks of life. This year we chanced by the Rotosound booth… I remember using Rotosound tape-wound on an acoustic guitar back in the 70s, but had kinda lost touch with the brand and the company. A most pleasant chat with Jason resulted in me exchanging a slice of credit-card for a couple of sets of Swing Bass 66s – and an entry into the prize draw to win a G&L Bass. I always enter these things, and never ever win. But this was obviously going to be my lucky day!

”A week after the show, the email came through from Jason: ‘Congratulations! You’ve WON!…‘ Wow!! One very happy, if somewhat astounded, me! I’m now looking forward to a more intimate acquaintance with a G&L L-2000. (Oh, and for the record, I am playing a Swing Bass 66 set on my current gigging bass – and rather enjoying the experience. Looks like I’ll be buying more of these in the future!)”
